The REAL reason you’re always tired 😴
A perspective to help you become more awake | join my team & register for the suicide prevention walk (details inside)
Hi friend!
On a scale of 1-10…how tired are you?
Maybe even thinking back to just this last week—how was your energy? Were you feeling mostly tired or more energized & awake?
If you are someone who’s usually tired, I imagine that means you have a lot going on. If it’s not work, it’s home/family duties, or appointments, or things that you need to have checked off your todo list. I mean the list probably goes on, especially if you’re a parent…
But what if this sense of tiredness isn’t because of how much stuff we got going on but rather what if it’s because we’re doing so much of what we’re not passionate about?
See, many of us get so wrapped up in trying to make a living that we forget to live in the moment to just be.
We burn ourselves out.
That’s why taking small moments solely for yourself is essential.
Taking time for yourself gives your mind & spirit a chance to reboot.
It also helps to improve concentration, increase productivity, help you discover (or rediscover) your own voice, give you a chance to think deeply, and help you problem solve more effectively.
To keep it going— spending time “just being” also offers you an opportunity for you to create a better sense of balance for yourself, as well as, assist you in becoming more self aware which can only help you develop a better understanding of yourself--like knowing what drives you, what inspires you, what excites you.
This, in turn, can have a positive effect not only on the quality of your relationship with yourself, but also on the quality of your relationships with others.
Our lives are not meant to be on constant autopilot. We need balance, and that includes taking moments to rest….to be.
So what can you do this week that can offer you rest from your daily routine of things to do?
What is something, even if small, that you’ve been wanting to experience but haven’t because of how tired you’ve been?
What is it that you can offer yourself this week that’s solely for YOU? Can you give yourself permission to do just that?
