Hi friend,
For a moment…think of a goal, or intention, even if small, that you managed to successfully accomplish for yourself.
And it can be anything….
It could be just getting to work on time….or making your bed….or getting laundry done…anything.
How did it feel for you to accomplish that goal? Did you take time to honor yourself for that?
Did you celebrate you?
And if not….if you aren’t someone who really takes time to honor your small wins….what would it be like to try it out?
What if you took more time to give yourself love & appreciation for alll the things, even the small things, that you managed to get done in your life?
How would that feel?
I ask this because I know for me— I used to be someone who thought I was only worthy of celebrating myself on days like my birthday or for moments like graduating highschool or college….
And then I learned that it’s not only okay to celebrate myself anytime I want too, it’s necessary.
Taking time to honor where ever we are in our lives, to appreciate the small wins, to celebrate the little things is also an act of mindfulness. It invites us to take a pause, to mindfully take notice of our lives, which is one powerful way that can help us at establishing a more loving connection with ourselves, thus helping us to heal.
It can remind us as well, that we have the capacity to get things done when we want to! This builds resilience, self trust, self confidence, and above all— self love!
And the more we can honor ourselves even for those small wins, the more motivated we start to feel to keep that momentum of getting things done going.
And so what is it that you can celebrate yourself for today? What is something you did today, even if small, that you can show yourself the love & attention you so very much deserve?
How could you explore this new practice of honoring yourself today?
