A few weeks ago, if you can remember, I shared news with you about me starting nursing school. My first day was 1/11…so it’s been a little over a week now in the program. But I want to quickly touch on & share with you the feelings I felt & thoughts I was having the night before the first day of the program because I feel that what I uncovered is the secret to adulthood in finding fulfillment & joy out of live again. If you were planning on tuning in on Friday January 22, 2021 (or maybe you did for a few) to watch the first fb live, I apologize for the screw up! I was having technical difficulties and did not figure out a way to redeem myself. And stuff like that happens every so often & I think that’s okay. Right? Because as I always say, we may not be able to control what happens outside of us, but we CAN control the way we respond.
So since that live was a flop, Sara & I planned to reschedule. When we decide on a future date & time, I’ll definitely let you know so that you can arrange for a plan to be there too.

So I’ve been reading this AMAZING book/meditators guide called Journey Of Awakening written by Ram Dass & if you haven’t already read it, I highly recommend.
If you don’t know who Ram Dass is, in short, he was an American spiritual teacher, psychologist, & author who played a huge role in popularizing Eastern practices (like meditation, yoga, & mindfulness) in the West, and is pretty much the reason we have the practices we do today. He’s also someone I look up too and respect, and as of lately, has been serving as a huge influence in my own life and practices.
In this book, he offers several different meditation scripts to practice along, one of which I used as inspiration for recording the practice below.
Here’s a brand NEW, (Ram Dass inspired) Guided Meditation Practice— where the concentration & focus is on the breath. This is also a perfect practice for beginners. See if you can practice along. And if you’d like, we can talk about your experience in the Facebook group afterwards.
