Hi friend,
When you want something, how do you go about getting it?
Do you pour all your effort, focus, & energy into getting that thing?
Because if you’re like most people, then yea, you probably do.
I mean— it sounds like the best approach, right?
When you want something bad enough, it's natural to put all your focus & energy on it.
What if I told you that this intense focus might actually be hindering you, keeping you further away from getting what it is you want…👀
TENSION, STRESS, OVERWHELM….oh my
So many of us have something that we want and we will do the MOST to try and help ourselves get that thing.
Many of us become hyper focused, fixated & anxious to make sure we do what we can to get what we want— which mostly all stems from F E A R of NOT getting what we want.
We want what we want & we want it now.
…But that’s not how life works.
Still though… you want what you want & so when things aren’t happening “fast enough,” it creates more stress for you.
The more you stress, the more tension you create within yourself….
This tension can then MANIFEST as “negative” emotions like fear, doubt, and frustration…
These emotions can then cloud your thinking, block the natural flow, only keeping you further away from that thing you want. 😅
MINDSET OF LACK
When you’re hyper-fixated on something that you want, you make it evident to yourself that YOU LACK SOMETHING. And so then your mind begins to operates from a place of lack.
Why?
Because you’re constantly reminding yourself that you don't have what you want yet. And because the brain ONLY wants what is best for you, when you operate with this state of mind, the brain will support you by continuing to perpetuate this cycle of lack—reinforcing feelings of inadequacy rather than abundance.
Because remember, the brain is only giving you what you continue to energize with your focus & attention.
It's a self-fulfilling prophecy—the more we dwell on what we lack, the more our brain responds by amplifying those feelings.
Funny how it goes right?
ITS ALLL ENERGY, BABY!!!
E V E R Y T H I N G in the universe, including your thoughts and emotions, operates at a certain ‘frequency’ or ‘vibration.’
And so when you’re stressed or anxious, you put yourself at a lower vibration. You start to feel tense, worried, and stuck in negative thoughts. You might also notice things go wrong more often or you feel like you’re hitting roadblocks.
High levels of stress/anxiety— fogs our thinking—which may lead us to act out impulsively, making decisions out of desperation or fear, which can & mostly always does —backfire…. pushing us further away from our goal/desires.
When you’re calm, collective, clear— you align yourself with higher vibrations. You feel more relaxed, positive, and open to possibilities. You start noticing things working out more smoothly and opportunities appearing.
LET GO TO LET IN
Letting go of what you want is the key to receiving what you want. Sounds counterintuitive though doesn’t it?
But we must innerstand that “letting go” DOESNT mean you STOP caring or GIVE UP on your desires.
LETTING GO — means you trust the process & trust yourself enough to remain open to receiving.
“Letting go” DOESN’T mean you STOP caring or GIVE UP on your desires.
By letting go, you reduce stress and you allow for things to flow naturally, making it more likely for you to RECEIVE what you want.
This might mean gifting yourself permission to take a step back, relax into the flow, and trust that things will unfold as they should. Leading with this approach allows you to see opportunities and solutions more clearly because you're no longer hyper-fixated on a specific outcome.
WANTING something and LETTING IT GO is about finding a balance between desire and trust. So set your intention and then allow space & time for things to happen naturally.
You WANT it, You GOT it
Set a clear intention of what it is you want.
Take deliberate action.
Release the need to control every detail.
Trust that the universe, life, or whatever higher power you believe in, WILL support your efforts.
And remain open & receptive to unexpected blessings, knowing that the best outcomes often arrive in the most surprising ways. 💫🫶🏽
