So this upcoming weekend, I will be attending my first ever meditation retreat. It’ll be a one day healing retreat where teachers will be presenting talks & guided meditations on each of the four foundations of mindfulness.

I share this with you because, like you, I am human & I too experience pain & discomfort, setbacks & dis-ease… and I too, am on a healing journey, navigating life, also finding ways to free myself from suffering so that I can experience more peace & freedom.
And for the past month or so, it has not been easy for me. I’ve been moving through a lot of heavy energy & experiencing major shifts in my life. So essentially, I feel as if I’m being called to heal my spirit. And this retreat is one more tool I can use to help me as I navigate through my healing process.
I also share this to serve as a message or a reminder to you that if you’re moving through something in your life right now that feels heavy or like too much to handle, just know that you’re not alone & that you don’t have to move through this alone. Take the time you need to “retreat,” or to come home to your body, so that you can be with & nurture yourself as you move through the challenges.
And also remember to reach out for support as well, when you need too. You’re not a burden. You’re not broken. You’re not the only one. You’re simply human & you’re going through a human experience.

Sometimes life will test us and send us challenges that may seem too unbearable or difficult to face or overcome. And in those moments, we may lose hope, trust, faith in ourselves & in god. And if we don’t seek refuge or retreat to heal ourselves, such circumstances can perpetuate further feelings of disconnectedness, lowering us into a state of deep suffering.
And so that’s why, in this episode, I share 3 tools we can return too, not only when we find ourselves in this low vibrational space, but tools that are readily available to us at all times whenever we need them. Every week, I pull a card for all of us from my Radiant Rider-Waite tarot deck with the intention of love & healing energy.
I shuffle the deck, close my eyes, and I ask the question to the universe— What message do we need to hear this week? What insightful message can we receive that can be used as a guide or support for us while on our paths of healing and living life 🙏🏽
& then when I can feel the message come through, I pull the card…

-How can I savor the simple pleasures in my life?
-Am I grateful for my family, home, and resources?
-Can I be more nurturing and supporting in my relationships?
-Am I being more sensitive to the needs of others?
