Hi friend,
So I understand that feelings are important and they matter very much.
Right?
It’s even something I speak on often — which is to “feel your feelings.”
This week though what I’m saying (and I’m saying this with so much love)…is fuck your feelings.
Yes! Feeling what you’re going through is ABSOLUTELY so important. But when the feelings start to dictate the course of your day or life…that just ain’t it my friend.
What I’m talking here is the self pity trap so many of us fall into after something “bad” or unexpected happens in our lives.
I’m sure you can relate—
Something “bad” happens. You feel a certain way about it. You get lost in it. You get in your head….And then you get stuck there, thinking your way into a state of self destruction. 😅
I know I’ve been there.
But self pity is dangerous. It’s spiritual suicide. Its behavior that can dim your light — killing your hopes, dreams, & spirit.
And really for what?
What sense is it to beat yourself up? Or for keeping yourself stuck in this frozen or self destructive state?
What if you chose to instead say fuck this.
Fuck self pity. Fuck these self destructive thoughts.
And what if you offered yourself self compassion instead?
Whether you’re going through challenges with your health, life, business, or whatever, remember that it’s just a moment in time. And what you go through doesn’t define you…what does define you is the way you respond to it all.

Life isnt always rainbows and sunshines. Things don’t always work out like you may have liked it too. Sometimes we do fall down.
And so when shit doesn’t go right, that’s okay. Pick yourself back up (feel what you’re feeling) and then go left.
Dont become the feeling. Just feel it.
Because remember...
You’re not a failure. You’re not behind. You’re not losing. You’re not alone. You’re not broken.
…You’re human.
You’re healing.
You’re learning.
You’re growing.
You’re having a moment.
You’re alive.
And so remind yourself often that you got this (whatever “this“ is). You will rise up again.

—Will I be happy after I achieve all my goals?
—How can I find ways to be happy with myself?
—How can I be content with the way things are?
—How can I maintain feelings of balance and satisfaction?
