Don’t Enter 2025 Without Reading This‼️
Turn your overwhelm into opportunity | next LIVE meditation | end of year activity to try out
Hey friend,
We’re closing in on the end of 2024 and if you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just straight up uncertain about what’s ahead—trust me, you’re not the only one feeling this way.
This time of year has a way of bringing up all the feels to the surface & that can be tough.
Maybe you’re experiencing the financial pressure of having to buy gifts, attending holiday events, and just making sure you’re meeting all other end of year obligations.
Or maybe you’re stressing over the idea of spending time with fam you’re not exactly thrilled about because of how “toxic” they can be.
You might also be finding yourself replaying the past year in your head focusing on what you did or didn’t do—and feeling disappointed or anxious about what’s next.
And then what if you’ve faced a loss this year? (a loved one, a relationship, or even a job)…That can ofcourse amplify all the stress-related emotions too, making things that much heavier.
Whatever’s weighing you down, as I’m sure the list can go on and on… just know that it’s valid & it’s okay to feel how you’re feeling.
And here’s the thing, my friend—it doesn’t have to stay that way.
In this week’s newsletter, I’m sharing something that may help you move through these feelings so that you may be able to find a bit more ease in the midst of it all.
A Reminder: Live End-of-Year Meditation — 12/29
First, I want to invite you to a special end-of-year meditation I’ll be hosting on December 29th at 7 PM EST on Insight Timer: Reflect. Release. Renew.
This is your chance to slow down, reflect on the moments that shaped you, honor the strength you’ve built, and recognize the blessings—big and small—that carried you through 2024.
This practice isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. It’s about taking a moment to reconnect with who you are right now, before stepping into the fresh energy of the new year.
Whether you’ve been meditating for years or you’re completely new to it, I’d love to share this space with you.
Feeling Stuck? Try These 3 Self-Healing Questions
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, stressed—maybe you know something needs to shift, but you’re not exactly sure what—here are 3 powerful questions I turn to when I’m in that space. They’ve helped me, and I hope they might help you too.
First, set the stage:
Ask yourself:
• What am I feeling right now & where do I feel it in my body?
• Where am I in life? If I’m not where I want to be, where do I want to go? What do I want to change?
• What’s within my control & what isn’t? Is there anything getting in my way?
Once you’ve got some clarity on your current situation, try these three questions:
If I had a whole year to come up with a plan to “fix” what I’m going through, what would that plan look like?
Take time with this question. Allow yourself to ponder some ideas. Write them down.
Now, how can I take that year-long plan and compress it into one week?
This might sound wild, but entertain it. This forces you to think more creatively and focus on what’s truly important.
Considering that 1-week idea, what can I start implementing tomorrow morning to move closer to a solution?
Take one small step. Just one. Action is what breeds clarity, and so even a tiny shift can break the cycle of feeling stuck.
When we’re overwhelmed, we often focus on what’s not working instead of asking ourselves better questions.
Accepting where we are, acknowledging our feelings, and then choosing to shift our mindset is a powerful way to move the needle of our lives forward.
If you try this exercise and want to share your insights, feel free to reply to this email —I’d love to hear what comes up for you.
End-of-Year Vision Board Activity
As we say goodbye to 2024 and welcome 2025, why not take a moment to visualize where you’re headed w a vision board?
Creating a vision board is a powerful way to stay inspired and aligned with what truly matters to you. It can help keep your goals at the forefront of your mind, reminding you of where you’re headed and why you’re moving in that direction.
Here’s how I created mine:
Get Clear: I started by asking myself, what is it that I truly want in the coming year—how do I want to feel, what do I want to experience, and what am I intentionally calling into my life?
Collect Inspiration: Next, I hopped onto Pinterest and made a “Vision Board” folder. I saved images, words, and quotes that resonated with the life I’m envisioning—so anything that sparked excitement, joy, and motivation.
Assemble It: With my inspiration gathered, I opened Canva, found a vision board template, and started arranging my chosen images and words into a collage that felt just right.
Here’s the final product of my vision board —
Does this feel like something you’d try? It’s a fun and creative way to keep your intentions a priority as we move into a new year.
Special Shoutout to My Nurse Community
As you may know, I helped to co-create a new ‘virtual’ peer support community for nurses (Virtual Nurses Station), currently housed on Facebook. And we recently had our very first community call and it was beyond powerful. We talked about what it’s like to work in healthcare during the holidays—sharing our challenges, holding space for each other, and lifting each other up in ways only nurses can. It was real, raw, and honestly deeply healing.
If you’re a nurse looking for a supportive community, I’d love for you to join us.
We’ll be having another call soon (DATE TBA), so stay tuned. This is a space for connection, understanding, and genuine care—because you deserve it.
You’ve Got This
Lastly, I’ll leave you w this reminder —
You my friend are powerful, capable, and abundant. The energy you need to heal, grow, and transform is ALREADY within you. Sometimes it’s just about asking the right questions, taking a moment to reflect, and allowing yourself the space to dream a little.
I hope you’ll join me on December 29th as we reflect, release, and step into 2025 together. Until then, be kind to yourself, and know that you’re never alone on this journey.
Sending you so much love and blessings,
🎄🫂💙
